Submitted on 3/3/2020 Review title of CytraanWowI'm blown away, spectacular story, likable characters (and one particularly hateable), beautiful graphics and a giant breathtaking map with hundreds of hours worth of gameplay, quests to complete, locations to discover and explore, an insane attention to detail, and all around extremely imersive feel and atmosphere. Okay now for online mode, while it has definitely gotten better there are still things that need to be fixed but mostly for me it's the lack of things to do so it can get a bit dry but still fun to log in for awhile. But all in all one of the best games not only of the decade but of all time. I 100% recommend this game, a definite must own. Submitted on Review title of JDL SCOUTGreat, But.Love this game. Graphics are spectacular, Characters are realistic, and the world feels alive.
My main issue arises with the Online, as it is with mostly everyone it seems. The grind for anything substantial is too much! You're either forced to slowly crawl your way up and slowly gain money, or use exploits and glitches to gain cash quick. And all the while there's a kid continuously griefing you as you try to sell an entire family of deer to the butcher for $10.
The original RDR never mentions Red Dead Redemption 2's Sadie Adler and Charles Smith, but in-game clues could suggest their fate. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece. No other game has ever tried and succeeded to capture a sense of a time and place long gone while also blending social commentary so well. The addition of a multiplayer mode that's a real step up from Rockstar's last effort makes Red Dead Redemption 2 unmissable on PC.
The single player is Amazing, But the Online DEFINATLEY needs some work. I hope Rockstar can make it enjoyable after it comes out of BETA.Update: Online is better now.
Fixed the economy a little, made it more punishing to grief, and added poker. All in all, it's better now. Still needs a bit of polish but I would definitely say this is a solid game in both online and single player.Update pt2: This game kinda epic. Submitted on Review title of KtezStory Amazing.Online? Not so great. The single player is excellent and will keep you busy for hours on end.
The immersion and story telling along with amazing graphics make this a must play. But as for the online 'beta'.it is very limited and becomes monotonous and extremely grindy with limited activities. Balances and free handouts have been made but doesn't hide the fact there isn't much going on.
With all the content in the single player, you would think there would be more going on here.I think the expectation is this game is going to be better than GTAV online. I just don't see it happening, its going to end up being a real money cash grab with limited DLC. The fact you can become a millionaire and buy stupid lavish things in GTAV is part of the allure and keeps people playing.
RDR2 is pretty limited in that aspect, look at original RDR there isn't much compared to GTA at that time. Whats going to be different? It's getting obivous that what you see right now is it, this is RDR2 online and it's pretty boring. Submitted on 2/14/2019 Review title of SlippyTheTurtle?SINGLE PLAYER IS A 9/10.
?ONLINE IS A 1/10The good, the bad, and the ugly.Only worth 60$ if playing single player. Online is overall disappointing and annoying to play.?Great Story- The story is fantastic with amazing character development, and plot. By far no plot armor.?Online- Tedious grind for money, uncreative gta5 inspired mission setups, and unnecessarily long horse rides.?Graphics, animation, sound, and effort is a 10/10. Like many rockstar games, it is plagued with extremely long rides, where the mission can take 10 minutes to complete, and 20 minutes to get there. Unfortunately it is a one trick pony.
